Family Farm of Chelsea

What began as a conversation about renovating an old farmhouse, quickly evolved into something much more transformative. After completing initial due diligence and exploring design concepts, it became clear that rebuilding from the ground up was the most cost-effective and practical solution to meet the needs of our clients’ young family.

We designed and built a true farmhouse-style home, crafted specifically for our family with four children. While the home is entirely new, it was essential to carry forward the spirit and character of the original home. This thoughtful blend of past and present ensures that the new home feels as though it has always belonged on their land.

To honor the legacy of the original farmhouse, we incorporated the salvaged wood flooring into a stunning feature wall that lines the stairway to the second floor. We also preserved the original brickwork, integrating it into the new steps leading to the front door and lining the covered back porch to tie the old with the new.

The result is a bright, open-concept home built for family living and entertaining. Expansive windows throughout the house frame picturesque views of the family’s rolling acreage, making nature a constant backdrop to daily life. It’s a timeless space rooted in heritage, yet built for today.
